Musical
Instruments

Use the eBrain as a playable interface. Light controls pitch and musical gestures; buttons perform, record, and reshape sound.

INSTRUMENT 01 // LIGHT → PITCH

Light Theremin

Move your hand above the light sensor and hear the reading become sound. Slide continuously like a classic theremin or lock the pitch to a musical scale.

  • One analog light sensor on A0
  • Optional GPIO 4 trigger button
  • Live waveform and pitch history
  • Room calibration and scale controls

INSTRUMENT 02 // BUTTONS + LIGHT → LOOP

Pocket Groovebox

The shared idea

Sense. Map. Perform. Remix.

Both instruments use the same creative-computing pattern. Once it works, change any layer to invent a different instrument.

  1. Sense the performer.
Read light or a button state from the eBrain.
  2. Map the signal.
Turn a sensor range into pitch, note choice, tone, or timing.
  3. Make it playable.
Add calibration, visual feedback, and a clear performance gesture.
  4. Remix one layer.
Change the sensor, sound engine, control gesture, scale, or physical enclosure.
